The Cross River State Investment Summit took place in London, UK, from November 17–19, 2025. The three-day forum, themed “Unlocking Opportunities and Driving Sustainable Growth with the People’s First Agenda,” aimed to attract foreign capital and engage the diaspora to boost the state’s economy.
The event focused on mobilizing investments and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in high-growth sectors. Key focus areas and outcomes included:
Targeted Industries: Showcased bankable projects in agriculture, tourism, ICT, renewable energy, mining, and infrastructure (including the Bakassi Deep Seaport and Obudu International Cargo Airport).
Keynote Speaker: Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu led the summit, highlighting regulatory reforms and state incentives.
Outcomes: Investors showed significant interest in revitalizing state assets and agro-processing capacities, laying the groundwork for upcoming bilateral agreements and follow-up investor visits.
