Bakkassi International Deep Seaport

An estimated USD2 Billion world class Deep Seaport PPP project.

260Km Calabar – Katsina – Ala Digital Super Highway PPP Project

  • An estimated USD1.7Bn world class digital high security 275 km super highway designed to meet international best practice
  • 275 Km long dual carriage six lane tolled Super Highway with full control of access from proposed Deep Seaport to exit
  • Security patrol per mile of the highway

TINAPA – FTZ & Business Resort

Calabar Export Processing Zone – CFTZ

Nigeria’s premiere Free Trade Zone occupies a total land of 180 hectares, with capacity for 80 to 100 industries. Other features and incentives include:

  • Tax holiday for 3 years;
  • No Import or Export Licenses required;
  • Sale of up to 25% of production is permitted in domestic market;
  • All exports under the Nigerian Value-Added Tax (VAT) system are zero–rated, and dividends received from investment in export–oriented businesses are free of tax.

Calabar Energy City

The Energy City eco–industrial park is an integrated destination of international significance located in the city of Calabar. The project is an economic industrial park covering an area of over 375 hectares with comprehensive facilities including well-laid out Industrial, Commercial and Residential areas as well as a harbour and petroleum tank farms. Calabar Central Market

The new Calabar Central Market is planned as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between the Cross Rivers State Government and potential investors for the development of a model market complete with modern facilities and infrastructure such as paved internal road network, adequate parking, pipe borne water, modern toilets, fire station, clinic, crèche, and an administrative block, etc.

The project is situated on approximately 94 hectares of land at Ekabo, within the outskirt of Calabar Municipality and when completed will involve the development of over 4,500 modern lock-up retail and wholesale as well as open  shops with covered  walkways. The project is expected to be realised in two phases, starting with 4,500 shops in phase one which is scheduled for completion before year 2020.

Calabar International Conference Centre – CICC

The multi-functional and flexible building will also offer the citizens of Calabar a new cultural centre that will provide the setting for concerts, film festivals and exhibitions. The Calabar International Conference Centre consists of four adjoining, sculptural volumes. The building is situated on top of a hill and has a panoramic view from the foyer. On one side, the location on the middle of the hill creates a natural amphitheatre with a room for several thousand people. On the other side, you have a spectacular view of the river delta.

The CICC project comprises of:

  • a world-class, purpose-built 2,000-seater multipurpose auditorium;
  • Proposed four-star hotel, 18-hole golf course and world-class golf estate.

Calabar Monorail

In fulfilment of its commitment to raising the standard of transportation in Cross River, the Government plans a US$150 million investment on a 13.8-km long monorail linking MEIA (Calabar International Airport) with the Tinapa FTZ and CICC.

  • CRSG will invest in rail track and ancillary facilities;
  • CRSG will concession operations to private investors;
  • Designs completed and construction expected to commence.

Cross River International Hospital (CRIH)

The CR International Hospital is a world-class medical facility designed to provide specialist medical care that meet American Joint Commission Standards requirements.

  • Project is conceived to be Nigeria’s first Medical Tourism Facility;
  • CRIH to be affiliated with a any interested potential investors;
  • The Hospital development is expected to be sited in 3 campuses – Calabar, Ugep and Obudu, the Calabar phase will comprise a 200-bed hospital with complete radio-diagnostic, endoscopy, open surgical and intensive care facilities.
  • The Calabar facility has been designed by REES Architect of USA .
  • The Hospital is designed to provide alternative services to over 3 million Nigerians who seek medical attention abroad.
